Your First Twelve Weeks in the Gym

About

Most people who quit the gym in the first month did not lack discipline. They walked in without a plan, copied what looked impressive, got very sore, and had nothing to show for it three weeks later. Beginners actually have the biggest advantage in training. Early strength gains come mostly from your nervous system learning to recruit muscle more efficiently, which means progress is fast in the first few months if the programme is structured. That window closes if you spend it wandering between machines. At Cape Town Strength & Conditioning you train inside a medical facility, with technique trained coaches advised by physiotherapists and biokineticists on site. We teach you a small number of movements properly, load them progressively, and give you a programme you understand rather than one you follow blindly. How long before I see results? Strength usually climbs within three to four weeks, with visible change following later. Do I need to be fit before I start? No. The programme is built from where you are, not from where you think you should be. How sore should I be? Mild soreness is normal early on. Being unable to walk properly means the session was badly pitched. Book your first session at 94 Strand Street, Cape Town, or WhatsApp 082 221 9390.
